TRAVELING KIOSK DESIGN

TALLAHASSEE, FL

DESCRIPTION :

The design of the traveling kiosk is inspired by Cartagena’s color, form and culture. The color yellow creates a sense of happiness and joy. Curvilinear forms mimic the vernacular on the city. Combining culture and new technology users will be able to experience and interact with Cartagena from miles away.

PROCESS

Phase one consisted of taking inspiration from the local architectural features, such as the curves and colors and letting the pen go.

Phase two is where form and space developed more permanently. Signage for the kiosk will also come into play soon.

Phase three was all about taking inspiration and previous process and turning them into a three dimensional structure.

This front elevation highlights  the curvilinear forms and architectural detailing. Signage is mimicked on the back and front entry. 

This unique 3D view shows signage and demonstrates the important fact, that visitors have two entry way options when entering the kiosk.

RENDERING

Visitors of the Kiosk are able to use touch screen monitors to learn more about Cartagena’s culture.
